Moving Your WordPress Site the Easy Way
One of the biggest headaches for WordPress web designers/developers/consultants has been to move a website from one directory to another or from one hosting company to another. It’s a simple task for routine, static HTML sites, but not nearly as easy with WordPress sites. There are many reasons for this, but one of the main reasons is you are dealing with more than just static design and content. You are also dealing with a database and having to make sure that all of those connections, links and content (text, images, videos, user engagement, etc.) are maintained.
I have tried many methods to make this process as easy and streamlined as possible and, until recently, continued to dread this final stage of moving a client’s new site to its final “resting place”. Needless to say, I was thrilled when I came across WPTwin (yes, this is an affiliate link as I believe in this product tremendously), tested it on a client site to find out it did EXACTLY what the founders of the plugin said it would do! Now, I move all of my client sites within a matter of about 5 to 10 minutes. It’s that easy. The company provides easy to follow video tutorials and after the first 1-2 sites you migrate, it becomes second nature.
Don’t ever struggle again. Do yourself a HUGE favor and watch the video that accompanies this link and what they say is what you get!
